Education and Autism
The educational approach in teaching an autistic child must be tailored to the needs of that individual child.
Multiple strategies have been developed to facilitate the process of teaching an autistic child. But since autism is a spectrum neuro-developmental disorder, no one approach can be used successfully deployed across the board. In other words, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to teaching an autistic child.
Accordingly, PSLC adopts an eclectic approach in the education of autistic children. This approach is also known as the child-focused approach. It focuses on the child’s specific circumstances and tailors the approach to meet those specific needs.
