Autistic children (children on the autism spectrum) invariably suffer from challenges with regards to communication and social skills. This severely curtails their ability to communicate and/or to interact with other people. However, all is not lost - speech therapy is able to offer tremendous benefits for such children.

Speech-language therapists (SLTs) will work with autistic children in multiple settings in order to develop their communication and social skills. This is invaluable to ensure that your child will be able to develop relationships, function effectively in social settings, and actively participate in everyday living.
